Whiplash

A sudden jolt to the neck during a collision can cause whiplash, leading to pain, stiffness, and headaches. Chiropractic adjustments can help alleviate these symptoms by realigning the cervical spine.

Back Pain

Impact from an accident can result in herniated discs, muscle strain, or spinal misalignment, causing chronic back pain. Chiropractic care focuses on relieving pressure on the nerves and restoring mobility.

Spinal Injuries

The force of an auto accident can cause vertebrae to shift or compress, leading to pain and dysfunction. Through gentle adjustments, we can help restore proper alignment and relieve nerve pressure.

Soft Tissue

Muscles, tendons, and ligaments can be overstretched or torn in an accident. Chiropractic care includes therapies like massage and stretching exercises to promote healing and reduce scar tissue formation.

Treatment

Diagnosis

At the core of correcting your condition we must know exactly what’s causing the problem. Is it ligament, tendon, Nerve impingement, disc, joint, musculature, etc. Once we have assessed what is causing the problem we then can only proceed to correct it.

Care

Once your condition is identified then we can start to fix it. Depending on your problem we will use one or more of Spinal Adjusting, non-surgical spinal decompression, spinal molding, spinal progressions, Intersegmental Traction, Myofascial Release, etc.

Initial Visit

1. Your first visit we will get all information from you needed. This will include details about the accident and your injury’s.

2. Dr. Elliott will then talk to you about your condition. He will then perform an examination on you.

3. Lastly, he will take X rays to see the extent of the damage.

Common Questions

1. Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor after an auto accident?

No, you do not need a referral to schedule an appointment with a chiropractor. However, if you have been referred by your primary care physician or an attorney, we will coordinate with them to ensure you receive the most effective care.

2. What should I expect during my first visit?

During your first visit, our chiropractor will perform a comprehensive examination, which may include physical tests, X-rays, and a review of your medical history. Based on the findings, we will create a customized treatment plan designed to address your specific needs.

3. Will my insurance cover chiropractic care?

Most insurance plans cover chiropractic care, especially in cases of personal injury from an auto accident. Our team will verify your benefits and handle the billing process directly with your insurance provider.

4. How long will it take to recover?

The recovery time varies depending on the severity of your injuries and how soon you begin treatment. Some patients experience relief after just a few sessions, while others may require several weeks of consistent care.

How It Works

If you’ve been in a car crash, you know how painful and disruptive injuries from that event can be. Millions of people are hurt in auto collisions each year, and some people suffer for decades with chronic pain…even after a “minor” collision. In fact, injuries from a car crash may not show up for weeks after the accident happens, which is why it’s important to see a chiropractor – even if you’re not in pain.
